Tomorrow, the Newfoundland and Labrador sealers will begin the largest phase of the shameful slaughter of harp seal pups. The kill quota is 235,000, not including the 10,000 for the new "aboriginal initiative," presumably a way to attract more aboriginals to the commercial slaughter for PR purposes. The Canadian Dept. of Fisheries and Oceans may seem invincible. But please realize this: when the money is flowing to the sealers and the fishing industry, this horror will be difficult to stop; but when the money stops, so does the seal kill.

This newsletter is about the power of ONE. That one person is YOU.

Below is our new Flash video promoting the Canadian seafood boycott. It contains no graphic video footage (just still photos), so it's easier to watch than our other video shorts. This is an inspirational video that you can send to all your friends, relatives, and colleagues. This is the power of ONE.

Below this, you will find three other ways YOU can help put an end to this massacre today. Find your niche in this campaign, and pursue it, every week until we win a permanent end to the slaughter!

For the seals,

KEEP THE PRESSURE ON RED LOBSTER

HELP RECRUIT NEW SEAFOOD VENDORS TO THE BOYCOTT
We need to hit Canadian seafood sales hard in 2006!

It only takes ONE person to call, write, or visit restaurants, retail seafood buyers, and seafood distributors to explain to them how they can play a major role in ending the largest slaughter of marine mammals in the world.

We can guide you and provide you with materials to make a strong case to seafood vendors in your town or around the nation. Contact us for more information.

DONATE, SPONSOR ADS, AND ORGANIZE FUNDRAISERS
Run our TV and radio commercials, print ads, and billboards in your town to promote the Canadian seafood boycott to consumers. It takes only ONE person to reach hundreds of thousands of seafood consumers with our message of hope for the seals.

Visit our Toolbox and see our commercials and print ads, including our new Supersealwoman ads. You can see our billboards here. We have many resources to offer you as you leverage the power of ONE to save the seals.
