Rebuttal to Far Right Rantings.....
Alright I have heard enough.
I’m not sure why I subject myself to the likes of those in hate radio but over and over I hear this sort of rot.
– “all they do is criticize. We hate bush we hate bush. Alright already! Enough blaming. Enough complaining. Do we hear solutions do we hear plans? Quit crying and give us a plan!”
– “who’s the leader? Who’s speaking for the libs? There’s no one.”
– “the most divisive party is the democrat party! They don’t want anyone working together…”

Ok. Point one: a plan.
Guess what? We don’t need to have a plan. We are not the majority…at least, right now, we’re not. We are the minority. We aren’t going to do your work for you. We’ve all worked for people like this, haven’t we? We’ve all had bosses that say “oh, so you don’t like it? Got a better idea?” and sure enough your “better idea” turns up as his idea on the president’s desk. We don’t have to have a plan or an agenda. All we have to do is voice our dissent. When it gets closer to election time, don’t you worry you’re pretty little heads, we’ll have plans on so many topics, it’ll make your head spin.

Point two: a leader
Again. We don’t have one person speaking for us. You have the president (stifled hysterical outburst) representing you. Good choice on that one. You are absolutely right, Lush Limp-paw, we have a bunch of different groups, we are a coalition. Nothing wrong with that seeing how diverse our country and, in turn, our party really is. I mean, it’s easy to get a leader for you guys. All you have to do is get a white guy preferably pseudo-Christian, up to his neck in corporate sponsorship, able to read (at least on a first grade level) what the puppeteer hands him, who’s answer to everything is to “kick their ass!”. We, on the other hand, have a plethora of people from every ethnic origin, every religious affiliation and persuasion and guess what? They’re all welcome! Crazy liberal strategy!

Point Three – Bipartisanship
Darlings. Sweet delusional, lovable darlings. You are the majority party. You do not turn to the minority and say “give in to us! Show bipartisanship!” as usual, you have absolutely everything backwards. As the leaders, allegedly, and “ruling” party, for now, it is up to you to reach out to us to bring us aboard. That’s like saying to the slaves - “reach out to your mastas! Show that you are willing to work with them. You selfish bastards!” Is that easier to understand? You keep using the word “leader”, but as usual, actions speak far louder than words, and well, lead you do not. Except into debt, despondency and disaster.

And now, I must admit, I missed the SOTU. I have to say, I was up at 4:45 a.m. to workout and was going all day, crashing and landing gently on my pillow around ten til (egads!) eight o’clock. Boy, do I feel old! However, I did catch the absolute crowning statements of hypocrisy.

Note to bush: You cannot stand on a rotted, crumbling platform of freedom as your minions lead people away from an event in handcuffs because they exercise they right to free speech by wearing a t-shirt you don’t like. Doh!

Democrats don’t need to have a comprehensive plan. They don’t need to do anything but keep taking notes on a) what the American people want and b) keep a list of what not to do when they take over - e.g. spy on citizens (check), out CIA operatives (check), wage an illegal war (check), associate with criminals aka Abramoff, DeLay, Schilling, Lay, Frist, etc. (check, check), lie repeatedly (check), destroy the environment (check), deny global warming (check), etc.

I have to say, though, I wish I had been awake to see the demo reaction to the striking down of the social security legislation.

Stand up!
Sit down!
Fight Fight Fight!
Go Team!

Did you read Nancy Pelosi's floor statement before the budget vote? Brilliant. If leadership is having the most votes then no, we don't because we are IN THE MINORITY. But if leadership is standing up and telling the truth then I am feeling more and more confident of the leadership of my party AND of our power to take back Congress this year. That is job one! Excellent remarks, my dear.
